Plot Summary

Jaxom is a young man who lives on the planet Pern. He is the son of Lord Groghe and Lady AIVAS, two of the most powerful people on the planet. Jaxom is also a Dragonrider, a member of an elite group of people who can ride dragons. Dragonriders are responsible for protecting Pern from the Thread, a deadly space-borne organism that threatens to destroy the planet.

Jaxom is a talented Dragonrider, but he is also reckless and impulsive. He often gets into trouble, and his actions often put his fellow Dragonriders in danger. However, Jaxom is also a loyal friend and a brave warrior, and he is always willing to fight for what he believes in.

In Dragon Kin, Jaxom is tasked with a dangerous mission. He must travel to the Southern Continent to find a new Weyr, a place where dragons can lay their eggs. The mission is dangerous, but Jaxom is determined to succeed. He knows that the future of Pern depends on it.
